A traditional Chinese ink wash hanging-scroll painting on warm aged rice paper, vertical composition, with six large vertical columns of bold black brush-calligraphy occupying the upper and right half of the image. The calligraphy should be highly legible expressive Chinese cursive-regular script with varied ink density and natural brush taper, reading from right to left in 6 columns: "金樽清酒斗十千 玉盘珍羞直万钱", "停杯投箸不能食 拔剑四顾心茫然", "欲渡黄河冰塞川 将登太行雪满山", "闲来垂钓碧溪上 忽复乘舟梦日边", "行路难 行路难 多歧路 今安在", "长风破浪会有时 直挂云帆济沧海". Add one smaller vertical inscription on the left side reading "李白行路难" with a small red seal stamp beneath it. In the lower left foreground, depict an ancient Chinese scholar-poet in flowing white and pale gray robes with a blue sash, long black hair in a traditional topknot with loose strands and ribbon, standing on the edge of a dark rocky cliff, body angled right and head lifted upward in a contemplative, heroic pose. Below and across the lower half, paint a turbulent river or sea with white crashing waves in monochrome ink and soft gray washes; in the distance, faint misty mountains and fog dissolve into the paper.
